For a Self-Catering Holiday Rental in France L'Elzet is perfect, combining renowned hospitality to help make your holiday special. And for most of the year, a tranquil setting looking over stunning panormac scenery. During school holidays children love it here especially our donkeys and pet farm animals. Our Cevennes Gites suit couples, Families, and group holidays when all the Gites can be taken together. Each Gite has individual character and a different corner of L'Elzet. Plenty of room to get together, yet space from each other and a door to close too. That's why it works so well!

Our Cevennes Gites are built in Cevenol Dry Stone Style, with 3ft+ thick walls that keep the heat out in the Summer and yet cosy and warm in the Winter. Our converted chestnut drier holiday cottage (or long let) has a log burner for cosy evenings after refreshing winter walks; "Le Violon" holiday apartment has a wood burning stove you can even roast your potatoes; all as well as central heating. Our Tower Annexe is certainly unique. Our Gites are popular with returning visitors, some come every year or even several times a year!

GITE DESCRIPTIONS

(1) Pretty TOWER Annexe - one bedroom sleeps 2+ (double + sofabed) from 350 Euro per week
The Tower is on three floors: Ground floor open plan kitchen dining table and chairs, comfy occasional futon sofa bed; spiral staircase to first floor double bedroom with French doors leading to the balcony (*with table & chairs and external staircase back down to the ground floor terrace. On the 2nd floor is a huge romantic bathroom with bath big enough for two. The large ground floor pretty courtyard has a large pergola with dining furniture, sun loungers & BBQ. It is adjacent to the main garden that looks over the beautiful valley below.

(2) character HOLIDAY COTTAGE - a converted chestnut drier barn sleeps 2-5 from 495 Euro per week

A converted sweet chestnut dryer cottage (Clede) with lovely views, open-plan living/dining and kitchen with huge glass fronted log fire. Sofa bed. The first floor has a double bedroom, 3 singles (1 set of bunk beds and matching single bed), through to bathroom. The patio and garden area has lovely views . There is a large covered pergola, dining/garden furniture & BBQ.

(3) Quality recently furbished Spacious 2 bedroom HOLIDAY APARTMENT with stunning views - sleep 4-6 from 455 Euro per week

Sitting room with long windows & fabulous views across and down to the beautiful valley below. Sofa converts to very large kingsize bed; dining table and chairs. 3 steps down to well equipped kitchen with breakfast table. French windows to the large sunny balcony with table & chairs to seat 6. Double bedroom; twin bedroom.bathroom. Outside: choice of courtyard or garden pergola, table, chairs, sun beds & BBQ with beautiful views over the valley and beyond.

Rental includes: Bed linen, hand towels & tea towels; Please bring your own bath/sunbathing towels. If you are flying then bath towels can be supplied on request.
Logs for cosy winter fires a basket of logs is supplied additional logs are extra.
There is an aditional 35 Euros exit cleaning charge per booking

We have a cheerful and friendly welcome to all are guests.

Special occasion and evening meals with the owners may be available by arrangement (Jeaves is a fab cook), and our own local Wild Boar or Venison is delicious! There is also 2 bar restaurants which serves good food in our village and two other really good restaurants with opening times depending on the season. Village shops, medical centre and school serve the community well.

Getting Together

L'Elzet is particularly friendly, and offers plenty of opportunities to get together with other visitors. There is many a laugh and great food/BBQ's. for you to participate in. There are a couple of good restaurants nearby and more if you're prepared to go a little further afield. They have been recommended by visitors.

Of course if it is peace and privacy you want then you can have that too.
