BY TRAIN:
RAIL EUROPE - Many visitors have said travelling by rail to Avignon or Nimes (if from the UK) was a great alternative to flying and that they would travel by train next time.


Travel by rail anytime of the year is certainly worth serious consideration. July to September Eurostar London St Pancras direct to Avignon journey time is approx 6hrs. I've just taken the train from London St Pancras to Nimes with change at Paris, in February, and it took 6hrs 20mins. (Paris to Nimes was just 3 hours!!) The trains are so fast. I was impressed by the comfort. The journey was so relaxed I would definitely travel by train more often! You could explore options loading your car onto a train.

Rodez (best if flight lands before 3pm),
